Environment Requirements

Before the installation, ensure that your environment meets the hardware and software requirements of KAE.

a: To use the accelerators in non-virtualization scenarios, you are advised to disable the SMMU (enabling the SMMU will affect accelerator performance). For details, see TaiShan Server BIOS Parameter Reference (Kunpeng 920 Processor).

b: KAEZstd and KAELz4 can be used only on the new Kunpeng 920 processor model. Encryption and compression algorithms vary with processor models. For details, see Algorithm Specifications.

Note: You can obtain the software packages of earlier versions from Releases. The name of each software package contains its corresponding OS version. Select a proper package based on the actual OS version in use. For example, kae-1.3.12-1.centos7.6.aarch64.rar is the RPM installation package of KAE 1.0 for CentOS 7.6.

  • An SSH remote login tool has been installed on the local PC.
  • The root account is used for KAE installation.
  • Both root and non-root accounts can run KAE.
