Configuring the Environment
You can use the BIOS settings recommended in this section for better performance.
- Enter BIOS Setup and press F9 to restore default settings.
- Configure the SMMU option.
Choose and set Support Smmu to Enabled.

- Configure the performance option.
- Press Esc to return to the main BIOS Setup screen.
- Choose and set Power Policy to Performance.

- Configure the prefetching and SMT2 options.
- Press Esc to return to the main BIOS Setup screen.
- Choose and set CPU Prefetching Configuration to Enabled.
- Set SMT2 (if available) to Disabled. Disabling SMT2 improves the single-core encoding performance. If the encoding cores required by services outnumber the physical cores, you can enable SMT2 to obtain higher concurrency performance.
