The following environment requirements should be met before you install the Ceph cluster.

Table 1 provides the IP address planning for cluster deployment.

Table 2 describes the client IP address planning for cluster deployment.

BMC IP address: specifies an IP address for BMC management, that is, the out-of-band management IP address.
Cluster network IP address: specifies an IP address for data synchronization between clusters. You can use the IP address of any 25GE network port.
Public network IP address: specifies the external IP address of a storage node for compute nodes to access. This IP address is used by compute nodes to access block devices. You can use the IP address of any 25GE network port.
When clients function as presses, ensure that the clients and the front-end network of the cluster are in the same network segment, and the IP addresses of 25GE network ports are recommended.
