fio Test Abnormalities

Symptom

Software version: fio 3.26

When fio is used to perform a high-concurrency sequential write test of a large data block (for example, 60 MB), a segmentation fault occurs.

Key Process and Cause Analysis

fio fails to apply for memory and accesses an invalid address.

Conclusion and Solution

• Check the system memory and ensure a sufficient memory space. Then perform the test again.
• The error has been reported. After the error is rectified, use the new version for the test.
