Restrictions
Application Restrictions
Note the following restrictions when using Global Cache:
- NVMe SSD persistence and TCP transmission must be configured.
- In the current version, the server can run only on the Kunpeng platform, and the client supports both the Kunpeng and x86 platforms.
- In the current version, the Global Cache client and server must be deployed separately, and all commands can be executed only on the client.
- In the current version, RADOS commands are valid only for Ceph cluster storage objects. Objects named rbd_data.*** cannot be created, deleted, read, or written.
- The current version disables the RBD cache function by default.
- The current version does not support object or file storage.
- The current version does not support the Mirror and Migrate functions of the RBD.
- The current version does not support log backup across file systems.
- The current version does not support hot swap.
- If TLS is enabled in the current version, service performance will be affected. For details about how to enable TLS, see the TLS configuration description in Configuring TLS.
- You are advised to use the default features to create an RBD image in the current version.
- To improve the EC performance, you need to install the EC Turbo patch and change the stripe size to 256 KB. Note that changing the stripe size to 256 KB will waste storage space.
