Introduction to KSML

The Kunpeng Storage Maintenance Library (KSML) is a Huawei-developed storage maintenance library that provides drive fault prediction and slow drive detection. This document describes how to use KSML.

Drive fault prediction uses machine learning algorithms to train models based on collected SMART data for predicting and identifying potential faulty drives in storage clusters before the faults affect services, so that customers can handle the faults in a timely manner.

Slow drive detection also applies machine learning algorithms. It collects w_await information of system drives to detect slow drives before they cause troubles.
