Environment Requirements

This document provides guidance based on the TaiShan server and openEuler OS. Before performing operations, ensure that your software and hardware meet the requirements.

Obtaining the Software Package

You are advised to install the Kunpeng Storage Acceleration Library (KSAL) to enable Kunpeng acceleration and improve RocksDB performance. If KSAL is not required, go to Compiling RocksDB.

KSAL is a Huawei-developed closed-source algorithm library and is available only on Huawei Kunpeng processors.

Before using the software package, read and agree to the user agreement.

Verifying the Integrity

After obtaining the software package, verify its integrity and consistency for security purposes. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Obtain the software digital certificate and software package from the Huawei enterprise website or Kunpeng community.
  2. Obtain the verification tool and guide from:

    https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/tool/pgp-verify-TL1000000054

  3. Verify the software package integrity by following the instructions described in the OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide obtained in step 2.
