Specifications

Dynamic metadata management mechanism of the TMM:

• Trusted Descriptors (TDs): cVM description. The maximum number of cVMs is 1,024.
• Trusted Execution Context (TEC): vCPU context. The maximum number of vCPUs is 1,024.
• Trusted Translation Tables (TTTs): S-EL2 memory page tables. The maximum number of page tables is 8,192.

Generally a cVM consumes 66 TTTs. The current metadata specification allows a maximum of 124 cVMs to start concurrently.

Mapping cVMs to block devices consumes extra page tables. Check the available number of page tables is sufficient. For details, see Obtaining Security Memory Information.
