CDN Overview
As Internet technologies develop and the number of netizens surges, intense pressure is posed on the origin servers and transmission backbone network. To alleviate such pressure and ensure efficient content transmission, storage, and distribution on the Internet, the Content Delivery Network (CDN) solution is used, adding a layer to the original Internet system. High-performance server nodes are deployed at the central, regional, and edge layers. Each server node caches service content based on specified cache policies. A user request is scheduled to the nearest server node, and the server node directly responds to the user request quickly. This thereby effectively reduces the user access delay and improves the access experience.
The CDN solution aims to accelerate user access by deploying servers on edge nodes closest to users, improve user access experience, and reduce the deployment and egress bandwidth of websites' origin servers, thereby reducing costs. Professional security hardening measures are taken to protect enterprises' origin content.
