Configuring the BIOS

Configure advanced BIOS settings to improve server performance.

SRIOV

Enables or disables single root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV).

BIOS > Advanced > PCIe Configuration > SRIOV

Support Smmu

Enables or disables system memory management unit (SMMU).

Enabled

BIOS > Advanced > MISC Configuration > Support Smmu

Set the options based on the recommended settings in the preceding table.

  1. Restart the server and enter the BIOS.

    For details, see "Accessing the BIOS" in TaiShan Server BIOS Parameter Reference (Kunpeng 920 Processor).

  2. Enable SR-IOV.

    In the BIOS, choose Advanced > PCIe Configuration > SRIOV and set this option to Enabled.

  3. Enable SMMU.

    Enable the SMMU feature only in virtualization scenarios. In non-virtualization scenarios, disable SMMU.

    In the BIOS, choose Advanced > MISC Configuration > Support Smmu and set this option to Enabled.

  4. Press F10 to save the BIOS configuration.
