Enabling Memory Interleaving
The prerequisite for enabling memory interleaving is that there is a DIMM in each memory channel. Each CPU of the Kunpeng 920 processor has eight memory channels. If each CPU is configured with eight DIMMs, is set to Enable by default. Otherwise, it is set to Disable.
Constraints
This feature is used to reduce the memory fragmentation rate. After memory interleaving is enabled, the performance of memory-sensitive services deteriorates by about 10%.
Configuring the BIOS
- Enter the BIOS and choose .

- Set Die Interleaving to Enable.

- Log in to the host and check the number of NUMA nodes.
1numactl -HAfter the configuration is successful, the number of NUMA nodes is reduced by half. As shown in the following figure, after memory interleaving is enabled, the number of
NUMA nodes changes from 4 to 2.
