Introduction
This document describes how to compile and install Percona on a Kunpeng server running CentOS or openEuler, and provides solutions to faults that may occur during Percona compilation and installation. This document describes two Percona installation methods: installation using an RPM package provided by the Kunpeng mirror site and installation by source code compilation. Choose one based on your requirements.
Percona Server Overview
Percona Server is a distribution of the MySQL relational database management system (RDBMS) created by Percona. It is an independent database product fully compatible with MySQL and can replace the storage engine with XtraDB without modifying any code.
According to the statement from Percona, Percona Server is the closest version of the official MySQL Enterprise distribution.
Percona provides a high-performance XtraDB engine, a high-availability PXC solution, and a DBA management toolkit such as Percona Toolkit.
