Compilation and Installation

Procedure

1. Use PuTTY to log in to the server as the root user.
2. Go to the source package directory.

   cd /path/to/ParaFEM

3. Decompress the installation package and go to the directory generated after the decompression.

   tar xvf parafem.5.0.3.tar.gz
   cd parafem

4. Perform the compilation and installation.

   ./make-parafem MACHINE=linuxdesktop

   If the following information is displayed, the installation is successful:

   

5. Load the environment variable.

   export PATH=/path/to/ParaFEM/parafem/bin:$PATH
