Installing HDF5

Procedure

1. Use PuTTY to log in to the server as the root user.
2. Run the following commands to decompress the HDF5 installation package:

   tar -xvf hdf5-1.10.1.tar.gz

3. Run the following command to switch to the directory containing the decompressed files:

   cd hdf5-1.10.1

4. Run the following command perform configuration:

   ./configure --prefix=/path/to/HDF5  --build=aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu --enable-fortran --enable-static=yes --enable-parallel --enable-shared

5. Run the following commands to perform compilation and installation:

   make -j 20
   make install

6. Run the following commands to load environment variables:

   export MPICC=mpicc
   export MPICXX=mpicxx
   export MPIFC=mpifort
   export CC=$MPICC
   export CXX=$MPICXX
   export FC=$MPIFC
   export F77=$MPIFC
   export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/HDF5/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
