Compilation and Installation

Procedure

1. Decompress the installation package.

   cd /path/to/Phylip
   tar -xvf phylip-3.697.tar.gz
   cd phylip-3.697/src

2. Modify Makefile.

   vim Makefile.unx

   Change line 84 to CC=clang.

   Change line 94 to CFLAGS=-Wl,-z,muldefs.

3. Perform the compilation and installation.

   make -f Makefile.unx install
