Accessing the BIOS

This section describes how to access the BIOS Setup Utility screen.

Scenario

Access the BIOS Setup Utility screen when you need to set system startup parameters or query the system data.

Impact on the System

This operation has no adverse impact on the system.

Procedure

  1. Connect a local PC with the keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) to the server, or open the Remote Control page on the iBMC WebUI.
  2. Power on the server.
  3. When the following screen is displayed, press Delete to access the Input current password screen.

  4. During the boot, press Delete, F11 (go to a boot manager), or F12 (boot the server over a network). No matter which method you choose, you need to enter the password in the dialog box.

  5. After entering Setup Utility, you can set parameters as required.
