VM Account Login Failure During VM Startup

Symptom

On a server powered by the new Kunpeng 920 processor model and running openEuler 24.03 LTS SP3, there is a low probability that the VM account fails to log in for VM startup. The guest OS does not respond when the user accesses the VM through the serial port.

Key Process and Cause Analysis

During VM startup, rootfs mounting may occasionally fail, making the guest OS inaccessible. Checking the saved VM serial port logs reveals that there are no logs indicating a successful rootfs mount during runtime.

Conclusion, Solution, and Benefits

Try restarting the cVM until it starts successfully.
