Configuring PCIe Max Payload Size
Principles
Data is transferred between the memory provided by the NIC and the memory used by the CPU through the PCIe bus. Max Payload Size is the maximum unit (in bytes) of data transmitted each time. The size is in direct proportion to the transmission efficiency of the PCIe link. The larger the value of this parameter, the higher the bandwidth usage of the PCIe link.
