Other Information
Before configuring this feature, learn about the constraints and application scenarios of MPAM and libvirt.
Specifications
Supported VM specifications include but are not limited to 2 vCPUs with 8 GB memory, 4 vCPUs with 8 GB memory, 4 vCPUs with 16 GB memory, 8 vCPUs with 16 GB memory, 16 vCPUs with 32 GB memory, and 32 vCPUs with 64 GB memory.
Version Requirements
- Versions: openEuler 24.03 LTS SP2, QEMU 8.2.0, and libvirt 9.10.0-18.oe2403sp2 or later
- License requirement: none
Constraints
The application environment must meet the hardware and software requirements.
Application Scenarios
libvirt supports DDR bandwidth configuration, which is mainly used for VM memory bandwidth isolation and QoS control. MPAM can be used to allocate VMs to different bandwidth/cache partitions to implement rate or priority control. In this way, high-priority VMs (such as real-time services) can deliver stable performance, and low-priority VMs do not interfere in critical loads.
