HMPP–EVS Audio Decoding Library
Hyper Media Performance Primitives (HMPP) is a library developed by Huawei based on the Kunpeng processor platform. It provides high-performance functional interfaces for accelerating signal and image processing through NEON instructions. The audio decoding interfaces include an Enhanced Voice Service (EVS) interface.

In data distribution for public security and technical investigation, a large number of 5G communication packets use the EVS audio format. Before voice analysis, EVS audio packets need to be decoded to restore Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) audio. Kunpeng HMPP provides a high-performance EVS decoding interface to replace the open source EVS decoding library.
The EVS audio decoding library uses the following key technologies: optimized EVS decoding algorithm, EVS decoding function vectorization, and optimized memory prefetch and affinity.
EVS is suitable for data distribution for public security and technical investigation.
