Upgrading a Tool

Prerequisites

  • The Kunpeng DevKit has been installed on the remote server.
  • Required tools have been installed in the Kunpeng DevKit.

Procedure

  • Common users do not have the permission to upgrade tools. To upgrade a tool, contact the administrator devadmin.
  • Before upgrading a tool, you need to stop all running tasks. Otherwise, task analysis will fail.
  • If a message is displayed indicating that a file is missing during the tool upgrade, install the missing dependency file by following the instructions in Installing the Missing Dependency.
  • If you log out and then log in again or switch to any other tab page during the tool upgrade, you will see the upgrade progress bar in the task list in the lower right corner of the Kunpeng DevKit tab page.
  • The System Profiler, Affinity Analyzer, and Porting Advisor plugins cannot be upgraded to 24.0.RC1 when the framework version remains 23.0.0. However, they can be upgraded at the same time with the framework from 23.0.0 to 24.0.RC1.
  • The Java Profiler and Affinity Analyzer plugins can be upgraded to 24.0.RC2 when the framework version remains 24.0.RC1. All plugins can be upgraded at the same time with the framework from 24.0.RC1 to 24.0.RC2.
  1. Log in to the Kunpeng DevKit home page as the devadmin user. Click in the upper right corner. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Tool Management. The Tool Management page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

  2. Select the tool to be installed. The tool can be installed online or offline. If the Kunpeng DevKit is in an isolated environment, you can install the tool offline.
    • Online upgrade

Click Upgrade in the lower right corner of the target tool. Then the tool is upgraded in the background, and the upgrade process is displayed in the lower right corner. After the upgrade is complete, you can use the tool.

    • Offline upgrade
      1. Click Offline Mode on the Tool Management screen. See Figure 2.

      2. Click the link to obtain the required tool package. If the tool package is already available on your local PC, drag the tool package to the upload area or click Upload to upload the tool package to the server.

For details about the software package of each tool, see Obtaining Software Packages.

      3. After the upload is successful, click Install/Upgrade. The upgrade progress is displayed in the lower right corner. After the upgrade is complete, you can use the tool.
