Upgrading the Kunpeng DevKit
- The tool can be upgraded from 23.0.0 to 23.0.T30.
- The tool can be upgraded from 23.0.0 to 24.0.RC1.
- The tool can be upgraded from 24.0.RC1 to 24.0.RC2.
- The tool can be upgraded from 24.0.RC2 to 24.0.RC3.
- The tool cannot be upgraded in the VS Code WebUI. Run commands instead to perform the upgrade. For details, see Upgrade.
- The tool does not support plugin upgrades through Managing Kunpeng DevKit Tools.
Prerequisites
- The Kunpeng DevKit can be used properly and no tasks are running.
- The remote server is running properly.
- The tool installation directory (/opt by default) has at least 8 GB of free space.
Procedure
- Open the upgrade page.
- If you have not logged in: On the Kunpeng DevKit configuration guide page or login page, click
in the upper right corner and choose Upgrade Kunpeng DevKit from the drop-down list. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK. - If you have logged in: Go to the Kunpeng DevKit page, click
in the navigation tree on the left, and select Upgrade Kunpeng DevKit from the drop-down list. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
- If you have not logged in: On the Kunpeng DevKit configuration guide page or login page, click
- In the dialog box that is displayed (see Figure 1), set the parameters. Table 1 describes the parameters.
Then click Next.

Description
IP Address
IP address of the server where the tool is to be upgraded.
SSH Port
SSH port of the server where the tool is to be upgraded.
SSH Connection Mode
The options are:
- Password authentication
- Key authentication
NOTE:- If you select Key authentication, import the id_rsa private key file. For details, see Configuring Public and Private Keys on Windows.
- After importing the private key file, enter the passphrase of the private key file.
Server User Name
User name for logging in to the server OS hosting the tool to be upgraded.
Server Password
Password for logging in to the server OS hosting the tool to be upgraded.
- If the server fails the connection check, modify the parameters as prompted and retry the connection. After the server passes the connection check, click Next and select an upgrade mode.Figure 2 Online upgrade

If you choose an online upgrade and the Internet connection is normal, the system automatically downloads the Kunpeng DevKit software package for the upgrade. You can also manually download the Kunpeng DevKit software package to the local host and upgrade the Kunpeng DevKit in offline mode.
After obtaining the installation package, verify its integrity and consistency for security purposes. The procedure is as follows:
- Download the digital software certificate and software.
- Obtain the verification tool and method from the following link:
- Verify the software package integrity by following the procedure described in the OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide obtained in 2.
- After selecting an upgrade mode, click Next. During the upgrade, enter the following parameters as prompted:
- Password of the root user of the server
- Kunpeng DevKit installation directory, which defaults to /opt
- Whether to confirm the Kunpeng DevKit upgrade
- IP address of the current server
- HTTPS port number, which is 8086 by default
- If a message is displayed indicating that the Kunpeng DevKit is successfully upgraded, click Log In to use the upgraded tool.
If the upgrade fails, the upgrade script automatically rolls back the tool to the source version.
