Logging In to the Kunpeng DevKit

This section uses Google Chrome 113.0 installed on Windows 10 as an example to describe how to log in to the Kunpeng DevKit using a browser. For details about how to log in to the Kunpeng DevKit in the IDE, see Deploying and Logging In to the Kunpeng DevKit.

Description

Google Chrome

Chrome 85.0 to 138

Microsoft Edge

Edge 85.0 to 138

Precautions

  • By default, the system locks a user account upon five consecutive login failures. The user account will be automatically unlocked three minutes later.
  • The default timeout interval of the system is 30 minutes. If you do not perform any operation on the user interface within 30 minutes, the account is automatically logged out. You need to enter the user name and password again to log in the Kunpeng DevKit. On the Kunpeng DevKit home page, the administrator can click and choose General Settings > System Settings to set the session timeout period. The value ranges from 10 to 10,080 minutes.
  • By default, a maximum of 10 common users can log in at the same time. The administrator can click and choose General Settings > System Settings on the Kunpeng DevKit home page and manually configure the maximum allowed number of online common users. The value ranges from 1 to 20.
  • Each user is allowed to set up only one active session with the tool. If an online user tries to log in again, the previous login will be terminated.
  • Some tools involve third-party open source libraries whose compilation options are guaranteed by third parties and do not contain security compilation options (BIND_NOW, SP, Strip, and Rpath). The DevKit is not liable for any security issue introduced by third-party open source libraries.
  • If you use single sign-on (SSO), you can log in to the tool after being authorized by a third-party authentication system, and multiple administrators are allowed for login using SSO.

Procedure

  1. Open a browser on the local PC, enter https://server_IP_address:port_number (for example, https://xx.xx.xx.xx:8086) in the address box, and press Enter.

The default HTTPS port number is 8086. Before using this tool, ensure that port 8086 have been enabled on the operating system (OS) firewall.

  2. In the security alert window shown in Figure 1, click Advanced and select Proceed to....

If a website security alert is displayed, you can ignore this message or download the Huawei root certificate to mask this alert. For details, see Importing a Root Certificate for the Kunpeng DevKit.

  3. Log in to the Kunpeng DevKit. When the login is successful, the home page is displayed. Your user name is displayed in the upper right corner of the page.
    • Change your password periodically. The password of the Kunpeng DevKit user is valid for 90 days. Change the password before the password expires. If the password has expired, change it immediately after login.
    • After the administrator creates a user or resets the password of a user, you are advised to change the password upon the first login based on the password rules.
    • When you log in for the first time, the usage statement is displayed. Read the statement carefully, select I have read and agree to, and click OK to use this tool. If you click Cancel, and then click Cancel again in the displayed dialog box, the DevKit will exit.
