Function Architecture

Figure 1 shows the layered function architecture of the HPC solution. The current HPC solution version will provide more applications with application porting and performance optimization. It focuses on the function delivery of the Huawei-developed middleware software stack. The HPC software layer is ready for commercial use. Donau Portal provides a simple and easy-to-use portal on which you can implement core functions such as job submission, job management, application integration, remote visualization, report representation, and billing. Donau Scheduler is a Huawei-developed scheduler that provides job scheduling with high resource utilization and high throughput in large clusters. Hyper MPI optimizes Allreduce, Bcast, and Barrier collective communication algorithms. In small-packet scenarios, it delivers a performance equal to Intel Message Passing Interface (MPI). The HPC solution supports x86 servers and OceanStor Pacific distributed storage systems. It enables RoCE networking and solution integration delivery.

The DonauKit delivered with HPC 22.0.RC1 (including Donau Portal, Donau Scheduler, and Hyper MPI) is not responsible for the security risks and vulnerabilities of third-party open-source software, OSs, and peripheral products (such as storage and network products).
