The Intel MPI Benchmark (IMB) benchmark test is used to measure MPI performance. In the test, point-to-point and global communication operations are performed based on messages of various sizes to measure the following:

• Cluster system performance, including node performance, network latency, and throughput
• MPI implementation efficiency
