Specifications

Hardware

Kunpeng 950 processor

Supported OS

1. openEuler (kernel 6.6)

Basic specifications of CCA cVMs

1. The maximum memory of a single cVM is 512 GB.

2. The maximum number of vCPUs for a single cVM is the number of physical cores on the server minus one.

3. The maximum aggregate number of vCPUs across all concurrent cVMs on a single server is the number of physical cores minus one.

CCA confidential passthrough specifications

1. Supported passthrough devices include SP680/SP681 NICs, NVMe drives, and SM acceleration hardware.

2. After Physical Function (PF) or Virtual Function (VF) passthrough is enabled for CCA cVMs, the average performance overhead of iPerf/fio is below 15%, with a maximum overhead below 20% compared to common VMs.

Execution acceleration specifications

1. Setting hisi-cca-enable to yes to accelerate cVM execution.

2. In the execution acceleration scenario, hugepages reservation boot parameters must be configured synchronously on the host OS. The total allocated hugepages memory must be greater than the memory size required by the cVMs.

3. If the host OS does not meet the hugepages reservation prerequisites, the maximum configurable memory for the cVMs is capped at 16 GB when hisi-cca-enable=1 is configured.

4. Under SPEC CPU, UNIXBench, and LMBench workloads, the average performance overhead of CCA cVMs is below 5% compared to common VMs. Specifically, the maximum overhead for SPEC CPU and LMBench is within 10%, while that for UNIXBench is below 15
