Symptom

When Sky (a video game app) is installed and started on a Kbox basic cloud phone, if an account with no registered role is used to log in to the game, a message is displayed indicating that the device data is abnormal and a new role cannot be created.

Root Cause

Currently, the root cause has not been located. The following two directions can be investigated:

  1. Currently, Kbox device simulation is incomplete for this app. As a result, roles cannot be created due to lack of required data. This needs to be evaluated in the Kbox evolution plan.
  2. The game detects that the Kbox is not a physical device. As a result, the anti-fraud mechanism is triggered.

Impact

Mitigation measures are available, and the impact is small. Currently, the Sky app is not in the compatibility list. Yet, logging in to the game using an account with a registered role is not affected. The test purpose is to verify the support for ETC2 texture, which has been implemented normally.

Workaround

Accounts that already have roles can log in to the game.

Solution

The trouble ticket is left unsolved. Whether to close the trouble ticket will be evaluated after device emulation.
