Symptom |
When Codec 2 software decoding is enabled in an AMD GPU environment and the container is bound to two or four cores, the following anomalies occasionally occur in the Gallery app: 1. Green screen artifacts appear in some video preview images; 2. After repeated play-and-exit operations, the video preview images exhibit frame misalignment. |
Root Cause |
The issue stems from a timing flaw in the Codec 2.0 asynchronous design. It occasionally occurs under CPU resource-constrained conditions. |
Impact |
When this issue occurs, the preview images in the Gallery app may display anomalies. |
Workaround |
Switch the decoding configuration to hardware decoding or OMX software decoding, or contact Huawei technical support to obtain the workaround patch. |
