Viewing Analysis Results

Prerequisites

A roofline analysis task has been created and the analysis is complete.

Procedure

1. In the System Profiler area on the left, click the name of the target analysis task.

   The node list is displayed.

2. Click the name of the target node to view the analysis results.
   • The Summary tab page is displayed by default, as shown in Figure 1.
     

     • You can click to filter data to be displayed in the chart. You can switch between regions in the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.
     • Move the mouse pointer to dotted lines, dots, or text in the diagram to view the related information.
     • The analysis diagram is partitioned by color. On the X axis, the zones are memory bound, bound by compute and memory roofs, and compute bound.

   • You can click to switch to the Region Details page. See Figure 2.

   • You can click next to a node name under a roofline analysis task to create a comparison report for different roofline analysis results.
     

     • You can click to filter the data displayed in the diagram and click to switch the comparison sequence of the comparison object and benchmark object.
     • You can click next to the task name to select different regions for comparison.
     • In the diagram, a solid circle indicates the benchmark object, whereas a hollow circle indicates the comparison object. You can click L1 to view the performance comparison.

   • Click the Task Information tab to view the detailed configuration and sampling information about the task on the current node.
