Installing the Root Certificate

Before using the Java Profiler on VS Code to create a real-time profiling task, perform the following steps to install the root certificate:

1. Select the target environment to be analyzed, select a process from the Java process list, and click Real-Time Profiling.

2. The Installing a Root Certificate dialog box is displayed. See Figure 2.

   Download the certificate to the certificate storage directory as prompted.

3. Double-click the certificate file and click Open.

4. Install the certificate.

5. Select Local Machine for Store Location and click Next.

6. Select Place all certificates in the following store. In the Select Certificate Store dialog box, select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK. Then click Next.

7. Import the certificate as instructed. When a success message is displayed, click OK to complete the certificate installation.
   

   After the certificate is imported, restart VS Code for the certificate to take effect.
