Installing a Tool

Prerequisites

The Kunpeng DevKit has been installed on the remote server.

Procedure

  • Common users do not have the permission to install tools. To install a tool, contact the administrator devadmin.
  • Before installing a tool, you need to stop all running tasks. Otherwise, task analysis may fail.
  • Download the tool installation package that is compatible with the server platform.
    • The Kunpeng platform supports the installation of all the tools.
    • Phytium supports only the installation of Compiler and Debugger.
    • x86 supports the installation of Porting Advisor and Development Assistant.
  • If a message is displayed indicating that a file is missing during the tool installation, install the missing dependency file by following the instructions in Installing Tools Dependencies.
  • If you log out and then log in again or switch to any other tab page during the tool installation, you will see the installation progress bar in the task list in the lower right corner of the KUNPENG DEVKIT tab page.
  1. Log in to the Kunpeng DevKit home page as the devadmin user. Click in the upper right corner. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Tool Management. The Tool Management page is displayed. See Figure 1.

For details about the software package of each tool, see Obtaining Software Packages.

      3. After the upload is successful, click Install. The installation progress is displayed in the lower right corner. After the installation is complete, you can use the tool.
  3. After the tool package is successfully installed, you can create an analysis task in the navigation pane on the left of the workspace.
