Feature Description

Dynamic feedback-oriented optimization tool (D-FOT) aims to enable automatic and imperceptible feedback optimization to increase usability and performance. It plans to implement two types of dynamic optimization features: startup optimization and runtime optimization. Currently, startup optimization has been implemented based on oeAware, an online optimization framework.

• Startup optimization: When an application is running, sampling and feedback optimization are automatically performed. After the optimization is complete, the optimization is automatically applied to the next startup without requiring manual modifications to the startup process. Once restarted, the application will automatically load the optimized version.
• Runtime optimization: When an application is running, sampling and feedback optimization are automatically performed. There is no need to restart the application or make any manual interventions. The optimized version can be enabled after a few interruptions.
